Our Staff

The wonderful staff who work for Abel Tasman make it all happen. They’re carefully chosen for their high care standards, their commitment to your choices and independence and culturally sensitive interactions. Abel Tasman staff embody the philosophy of caring for people as if they were their own family. It’s a belief felt strongly by all staff, management, our Board and volunteers.

And it works. Abel Tasman has little staff turnover – in fact, some have been with us for over two decades! Our home in Western Sydney is a vast collection of cultures, giving us a fantastic opportunity to select staff to match our residents and Support at Home clients with people of the same background – locals who are part of the community fabric.

We have strong ties with registered training organisations such as TAFE in the local area that provide us with students for clinical placement.

We value our ability to interact with residents, clients and their representatives, our sensitivity and attention to detail, our work ethic, our capacity to work in a team, and, importantly for Support at Home staff, the ability ‘to think outside the square’.

Abel Tasman enjoys a wonderful reputation in the community, which is driven by our compassionate care and services delivered by our whole team!
