Abel Tasman Village is a non-for-profit, 72-bed residential Aged Care facility, that was established in 1994 and since then has built a reputation of delivering outstanding care to our ageing population. Our name is well known, and respected in the community and that of the surrounding areas and we find ourselves as one of the preferred residential Aged Care facilities in South Western Sydney.

About the Role

Join our caring team as a Personal Care Worker at Abel Tasman. You’ll provide daily support and personal care to residents, helping to create a welcoming, inclusive environment. You’ll also monitor well-being, and ensure residents feel comfortable, valued, and at home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily support and assistance to residents, ensuring their comfort, well-being, and dignity.
  • Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility, tailored to individual needs.
  • Foster a warm, inclusive environment that encourages residents to feel safe, valued, and respected.
  • Work closely with other care staff to implement and follow care plans, ensuring all physical, emotional, and cultural needs are met.
  • Build strong, meaningful relationships with residents, offering companionship and understanding.
  • Ensure a safe and clean living environment by assisting with housekeeping and other tasks as needed.
  • Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, promptly reporting any changes or concerns to the care team.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of resident care activities.
  • Be able to work a range of shifts which may include: AM shifts – from 06:00-14:00 and Pm shifts from 14:00-22:00
