I want to give you an update on the current situation regarding the staff member who has tested positive to COVID.
All close contacts to the staff member are in isolation and have tested negative as at yesterday. All close contacts will be tested again on Thursday. We have been in regular consultation with the Public Health Unit who have been very pleased with the way we have managed the situation. They have advised that if all close contacts test negative on Thursday, it is highly unlikely that ATV has been exposed to COVID. Of course, we are all hoping that will be the case.The Public Health Unit congratulated us on our vaccination numbers.
More information regarding reopening for visiting will be available once we have the results of the COVID tests.Thank you everyone for your patience and again, we cannot thank you enough for complying with the requirements to keep our residents safe. We know for some of you it has been difficult. However, it is at times such as this, that our decisions in relation to entry to ATV have been totally vindicated.
