Update 2 February 2022

Hello to you all.

This is an update on the recent COVID 19 outbreak at Abel Tasman Village. All residents in the affected area have now tested negative via RAT and PCR testing.

The management team met with NSW Health representatives, Commonwealth Department representatives, the Local Health District and the Aged Care Quality Commission yesterday and we are pleased to report that the outbreak has now been declared over. The representatives we met with were very impressed with the way this smaller outbreak was managed. There are many aged care providers who are not in such a good position and have dozens of cases to manage in their facilities.

At this stage, the visiting framework will remain as it is. We will be providing a further update by the end of the week, once the team has worked through the structure of visiting and outings moving forward.

A memo has been sent to all residents today to advise them of this update.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding.
