Hello to you all.
This is an important message from Abel Tasman Village in relation to COVID 19. As at today’s date 18/3/22, there are two residents who have returned a positive result for COVID 19. Both residents are exhibiting very mild symptoms and are in isolation. We have identified other residents who are classified as close contacts and those residents are also in isolation.
As a precautionary measure and to allow time for appropriate testing of residents, visiting will be suspended until Monday 21st March 2022. If at any time this situation affects your loved one, you will be notified. As part of our privacy and confidentiality requirements, staff are not permitted to give any details regarding the current outbreak and particularly details of positive residents, to anyone other than a resident’s family or emergency contact.
Of course, all residents’ safety is our Number One priority and we will be reviewing the situation regularly and will keep you advised. The Outbreak Management Team will be meeting daily over the weekend to review the outbreak and will provide you with any further information as it comes to hand.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Sophia Markwell,
General Manager
